Battery codes

  • Battery charging high temperatureThe battery is overheating during charging.
  • Battery charging over-voltageThe battery is receiving a voltage higher than its maximum.
  • Battery charging overcurrentThe battery is being charged with too much current, which could damage it.
  • Battery discharge high temperatureThe battery is overheating during discharge.
  • Battery discharge overcurrentThe battery is discharging too much current, which could damage it.
  • Battery discharge undervoltageThe battery voltage is below acceptable limits for discharging.
  • Battery discharging low temperatureBattery temperature is too low for discharge.
  • Battery pack communication lostCommunication with one of the battery packs is lost.
  • Battery temperature detection sensor failureThe sensor detecting battery temperature has failed.
  • BDU main positive relay failureThe main relay in the BDU has failed.
  • BDU overtemperatureThe Battery Distribution Unit is overheating.
  • BMS self-test faultBattery Management System self-test failure.
  • Cell voltage sampling line failureThere is a fault with the voltage sampling lines of the battery cells.
  • Current collection sensor overtemperatureSensor temperature exceeds operational limits.
  • Excessive battery temperature differenceTemperature difference across battery exceeds safe limits.
  • Loss of communication with PCSCommunication with the Power Control System is lost.
  • Low insulation resistance of BDUThe insulation resistance of the BDU is too low, posing safety risks.

When to call your installer or the warranty line

Your installer is your first warranty contact. If they've gone, the manufacturer's warranty line still covers the hardware. Don't open the inverter or battery case yourself: work inside it is for a licensed electrician.

If you see smoke, scorch marks or smell burning, switch the system off at the AC and PV isolators and call your installer. If anyone is in danger, call 000.

  1. Try the free fixes first

    Most faults are an isolator, a WiFi drop or a known error code. Start with the lookup and guides above.

  2. Then call the people who are responsible for it

    Your installer is your first warranty contact. If they've gone, the manufacturer's warranty line still covers the hardware.
