About Zenaji

Zenaji is an Australian battery manufacturer that produces lithium titanate (LTO) batteries. It designs and assembles its batteries in Australia and entered the home-storage market in 2017. Zenaji's defining choice is chemistry. Where most home batteries use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) or NMC cells, the Zenaji Aeon uses lithium titanate oxide (LTO) — a chemistry valued for cycle life, safety and tolerance of extreme temperatures. Each Aeon module holds 1.93 kWh, can be discharged to 100%, and is rated for operation from -40°C to 60°C; systems scale by adding modules, so storage can be sized in small steps rather than fixed blocks. LTO's trade-off is well understood — it is less energy-dense and costs more per kWh than LFP, so a Zenaji system carries a higher upfront price for a given capacity. In return, Zenaji backs the Aeon with a 20-year or 22,000-cycle warranty (whichever comes first) to at least 80% retained capacity, around double the 10-year cover most rivals offer.
