Sofar makes inverters and home batteries. Its Australian contact is Sofarsolar Ausco Pty Ltd in Sydney, the company its battery warranty names. That company took out an Australian Business Number in May 2019. Sofar says it was founded in 2013 and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange's ChiNext board in 2025. The warranty itself comes from Shenzhen SofarSolar Co., Ltd. Its home battery for Australia is the BTS, a 5.12 kWh lithium iron phosphate module. The modules stack one to four high on a floor-standing distribution unit, so a home starts at one and grows to 20.48 kWh, with 2.5 kW of power from each module. The Clean Energy Council approved the BTS on 9 January 2026, and Sofar's HYD and ESI hybrid inverters (one box for solar and battery) are approved too. The warranty gives 10 years. It promises at least 70% of usable energy for those years or until the module's energy limit is reached. The condition is a Sofar inverter, or another brand that Sofar or an authorised reseller has confirmed in writing. Some of those hybrids were on Synergy's Supported Solutions List dated 1 October 2026, but which inverter the BTS runs on is not on file, so that part is to be confirmed.
