Membership
A WattMate Member has joined WattMate’s installer network and can receive quote requests through us. That is all the label says.
In plain terms
A WattMate Member has joined WattMate’s installer network. It is a membership, not a certification or a quality rating. Membership is granted by WattMate and can be removed.
When you ask for quotes on WattMate, your request goes to between 1 and 3 WattMate Members who cover your area. If none can take it right away, we keep looking and tell you where things stand.
Each WattMate Member’s profile has a Credentials section. Items under ‘Sighted by WattMate’ were checked against an official register (ABR, WA Building & Energy, SAA) or sighted by us. Items under ‘Declared by the installer’ are their own claims, which we haven’t independently verified.
What membership does not mean: it is not a guarantee of the work. WattMate is an independent referral and operations platform, not the installer. We do not perform installation work, and your installation contract is with the installer you choose. Check credentials yourself and get more than one quote.
Homeowners: compare installers and ask WattMate Members for quotes. WA installers: start with a seven-minute application. We email you once it’s decided.
