GoodWe inverter error code Grid Overvoltage

GoodWe uses code Grid Overvoltage in more than one product range, and it doesn't always mean the same thing. Check which range your inverter belongs to below.

Meaning
The grid voltage exceeds acceptable limits.
Likely cause
The duration of high voltage exceeds the requirement of HVRT.
What the manual says to do
If the problem occurs frequently, check whether the grid voltage is within the permissible range. Contact the local power company if necessary.

Critical

Meaning
The grid voltage exceeds the permissible range or the duration of high voltage exceeds the requirement of HVRT.
Likely cause
If the problem occurs occasionally, the utility grid may be abnormal temporarily. The inverter will recover automatically after detecting that the utility grid is normal.

If the problem occurs frequently, check whether the grid voltage is within the permissible range or contact the local power company.

When to call your installer or the warranty line

Your installer is your first warranty contact. If they've gone, the manufacturer's warranty line still covers the hardware. Don't open the inverter or battery case yourself: work inside it is for a licensed electrician.

If you see smoke, scorch marks or smell burning, switch the system off at the AC and PV isolators and call your installer. If anyone is in danger, call 000.
