What a battery would run in a blackout

  • We do not have a datasheet-verified backup profile for the battery. Plenty of batteries that genuinely back up a home sit in that state, which is exactly why a number here would be believed and wrong.
  • We do not know whether your supply is single or three phase, and that changes what a backup circuit can cover.

A home battery is not an uninterruptible power supply. There is a brief changeover gap when the grid drops, backup covers essential circuits rather than the whole switchboard, and it must never be relied on for life-support equipment. Tell your installer and Western Power if that applies to your household.
